Rumplestilskin

Lindsey had her first acting debut. Her class performed some plays for the school and a parent audience. Lindsey was very excited when she was picked to play one of the lead parts. She walked around the house with a smile on her face for days. Her class had a lot of fun practicing, painting sets, and preparing costumes. It was a good experience for them to be involved in all the aspects. Kudos to Mrs. Wood for giving them the opportunity and turning them loose to make it happen. The kids worked hard and you could tell they took great pride in the performance because they had done everything themselves.

Lindsey played the part of the woman who spins straw into gold with the help of Rumplestilskin. She then marries the king and the evil gnome returns for her firstborn son. She is given an opportunity to guess the name of the troll in order to keep her firstborn. Of course, with the help of her servant, she is able to guess his name and he disappears in a puff of smoke. There were small commercial breaks at set changes that the kids had made up themselves. It was fun to watch. Lindsey did a great job. She is a natural performer, I think she gets it from her dad. For those who have been acquainted with me for many years, will recognize her princess costume. That's right, it's my junior prom dress. I knew there was a reason I was saving it!
