With Heather, we've had the opportunity to hear for the third time what a great place Utah is to live. The fourth-graders presented a program full of song and dance illustrating the history and greatness of our state. Matthew, who doesn't distinguish between the state of Utah and the University of Utah, was not impressed. He couldn't understand why we had to sit through a program that was telling us what a great place "Utah" was. I tried to explain the difference between a state and a University. I'm not sure if he completely understands but he calmed down.
Heather had a speaking part, sang with a small group, and got to do the Virginia Reel. She was very excited and it was fun to watch them. After the program, we got to go to the classrooms and see their presentations on the various counties. Heather reported on Washington County. They did most of the work on the reports on and the float in class. She enjoyed learning about Washington County and was impressed when she discovered James and I were married in Washington County. It was a fun evening with the fourth graders.
